I had a goal of playing in new challenges and posting on a daily basis while I am recouping. HA! Well, goals are good -- I just didn't achieve them... so far.
Today I got a post from A Blog Named Hero and Kelly had a sponging tutorial on a flower, that really was breathtaking stunning when complete, however, talk about a ton of work. Fast forward 30 minutes and I am still thinking about that flower. Okay, I had to try.
Oh my! I am in love with this card! :) -- Yeah, lots of tiny pieces to glue down, but I have to say, well worth the effort! I LOVE THIS! As I was using oranges on the rose, it dawned on me that the colors over at Pals Paper Arts could be incorporated in this card :) -- there it is - today's challenge!
Sometimes Halloween colors don't have to be Halloween. :)
My image is a 1995 PSX image. If you have ever seen these collectible images you know how beautifully detailed they are. The last time I saw a price on one of these stamps.......$75.00!! 1 stamp! I have 2 of these and they aren't going anywhere! That company's closing was a [huge] loss.
My 2nd challenge today is my favorite - One Layer Wednesday - Susan is kicking off her annual Gratitude Campaign. Make and send gratitude cards to people you appreciate. It's a small effort on the stamper's side -- we love making the cards. However, to the recipient you will make their day! Who doesn't like to be told they are appreciated? Goodness knows I appreciate Susan creating this challenge, along with her Team of Hostesses that she has recruited to help her out.
I used the happy, bright colors with GKD's Botanical Dreams stamp set. Another successful one layer card :).
Thanks for stopping by~
