This week, Christine Okken , was spied with this card. Way to go out with a bang huh! I will miss this weekly challenge - I just love starting my cards with a sketch.
Here is the sketch;
I think this is one of my most favorite sketches. I love the way the white frames the focal middle. I used one of my self made buttons [love those things too ;)], along with a glittered bfly and tiny sentiment.
I hope you pop on over and play in I Spy Sketches' last challenge. I will be commenting on everyone's entry. I have not been very good at that over the last year.

I Spy Sketches #42
This week Anya Schrier was spied with this card. Here is the sketch:
Here is my sample card:
So, the son's girlfriend will be 18 in a couple of days. In real life, this card looks elegant - however, I am not sure that is appropriate for her. I think she is more of a bright card kind of girl. More like this one:
While my photo is a little off, I, personally like this card for her. I'll ask my son what one he wants me to give her.
Meanwhile, the sketch is really a good one. Come on over and play in the I Spy Sketch #42.

I Spy Sketches - #41
This week, Chris Franco was spied with this card. Here is the sketch;
I had to use Gina K Designs, American Made -- the image was perfect!
The fun designer paper is also GKD Pattern Paper Pack; Merry Little Christmas. My sentiment is from Wishing You Joy STV Kit.
Such a fun, versatile sketch - you can use a stamp. cut paper, sponging - wow the ideas are endless! Pop on over to I Spy Sketches, see the other DT's samples, and play along!
Thanks for stopping by~
ps. The majority viewers picked the extra large photos on my posts [for seeing the details], therefore, I am going to stay with that size. Thanks to all of you who responded to my question.

I Spy Sketches #40
This week, Julie H. was spied with this card. Here is the sketch:
While Julie's card is quite beautiful with the weaving, I however, do not have the patience for that technique. I went an easier way :).
I just used designer paper with a "weave" type pattern. Call me cheater - I'm okay with that~
I used the fun Hero Arts set Holiday Cheer, along with a sentiment from SP & Company's set Bold Sentiments II Holiday Stamps set. Not sure I like these colors [actually, I really don't], but DH said it was pretty and sometimes you need to go with others opinions. :) Plus, I don't have time to make another card...
Do you like the sketch? Are you up to using the weave on your card? Show us what you got and join in this week at I Spy Sketches. I can't wait to see what choice you make...

I just totally love the fish tail on this sketch. [At this point in time, it is my addiction] One of my co-workers is pregnant, so this card will be for her and her new little one.

Here is the sketch:
Seriously, I think this is one of my favorite sketches. !/2 the time I find myself using this layout as a go to. I love the framing effect~
I used my fun reindeer from Hero Arts (with cutter) Sizzix Holiday Cheer, and my sentiment is also Hero Arts, Merry Christmas Trees.

I Spy Sketches #34
Joanne Basile was spied this week with this card.
Here is the Sketch
I changed up the sketch a little. I just instantly thought of these images when I saw this sketch.
I used the GKD Heirloom Ornaments, which pair with the Nestabilities Heirloom Ornaments. Gold mirror paper, red glitter paper, gold embossing on my ornament -- I am good to go with this Christmas card~
Come on over to I Spy Sketches and look at the other DT samples -- then, play along!

I Spy Sketches 33
This week, Cindy Elam was spied with this card.
Here is the Sketch
Using Stampin Up set, Upsy Daisy, I made this card;
While I have been waiting to try this color combo, I am not that happy with it, The sponged London Fog kind of looks dirty to me. Oh well, it does work as a sympathy card.
Pop on over to I Spy Sketches, check out the DT's samples and join in the fun!

I Spy Sketches #32
Today, we are featuring Marie-Alice's sketch from this card.
Here is the sketch
And, here is my card:
Making this card was really fun! I went way back in my stamp collection and grabbed My Cupa Joe from Gina K Designs. I used the green from my job (yeah, I work at Starbucks!) and this will work out perfect for me to give a co-worker!
I hope you come on over to I Spy Sketches, check out the other DT cards, and play along!

I Spy Sketches #31
This week, one of my favorite CAS designers, Karen Dunbrook, was spied with this card. Here is the fun sketch
I was so inspired by this photo from Pinterest;
It really screamed my name! So, between the sketch and the inspiration I came up with this beautiful card!
I used [once again] clear embossing on black card stock - I love this look! Using the fun background images from Gina K Designs Pretty Patterns, I am thrilled with the added texture. I used Memory Box's Vivienne Butterfly on gold mirror paper and there you go~ gorgeousness.
A couple of close ups for you;

I loved this sketch and hope you do too! Hope to see you over at I Spy sketches playing along!
Thanks for stopping by~
PS - Just FYI - I had surgery on the 22nd and am now back home. It still will be a few days for something new showing on the blogo here, and just wanted to let you know so ya all don't jump the email ship :) -- I will be back..... :)

I Spy Sketches #30
Jacquie Southas was spied this week with this card. Here is the sketch.
Keeping in mind, you don't need to actually use a diamond shape, I went with a star. I took 3 stacked pieces of dp and ran it through my Big Shot with my Star Nesties. I ended up with the star shape and was able to change out the papers to achieve the pattern swaps.
I really do love this Pinkpaisleee Butterfly Collection designer paper. Very muted and pretty - a tad outside my box, but that's okay. Change is good! :) My sentiment is from Gina K Designs Hopeful Hearts.
Feel like being challenged? Try out the sketch this week and show us what you create! See you over at I Spy Sketches.

I Spy Sketches #29
Renee Matarese was spied this week with this card. Here is the sketch;
Not to complicated, just layers. I can do that! (You can too I bet!) Here is my card;
I did flip the sketch to fit in one of my favorite quotes. This is from GKD Timeless Treasures. I also found this gorgeous designer paper [in my closet] and used it. Butterfly Garden by Pinkpaislee. I love this stuff. It's so pretty.
Come on over to I Spy Sketches, and play in the sketch challenge! We would love to see what you create. What until you see the Team's samples! One word - WOW.
