The timing of this photo was perfect! CAS-ual Fridays came out with a fabulous new stencil, Stars & Stripes, and it inspired [from the photo] this awesome card;
Rather then just stencil the "stars", I inked up the actual stencil, spritzed on water and laid it onto the card stock panel. I love the way the stars turned out. I went on to ink on the stripes. Because the ink
smeared, I added on some texture paste. I rather like the added texture. I used a couple layers for the celebrate, and this card was complete.

Oh my goodness I love this flag. My nephew will be shipping off to the Navy next month and his mom and I are working on some cards we can send to him while he is away. I have been looking at so many patriotic cards for inspiration and this is just gorgeous. Thank you for the inspiration.
