A Couple of Challenges

I have been on a semi vacation over the last month.  My sister is playing a snowbird, and she is more fun to do things with, rather than stamping. ;) -- that said, I am READY to get out here in blogland and play along in some challenges!

I started with a new challenge that I saw from Julia Aston's blog - A Vintage Journey; Melt It.  I haven't played with melting in a few years, and I really wanted to try it again!

Oh my!  Did I have fun!  I don't have encaustic wax, so I improvised with crayons!  Yep, just melted them onto my craft iron.  I liked this end result, so I am entering it into the challenge.

Since I had all the works out, I went ahead and made a second card, but this one is for the CAS on Sunday Challenge - Die.

I used CUTplorations XO die [discontinued], and a heart die from Lawn Fawn. Yes, the background panels are melted crayon :).

Another totally fun day for me.  I'm glad to be back joining in! :)

Thanks for stopping by~

Amazing! It's funny, I was packing some stuff and I set aside a brand new never used encaustic kit to get rid of. Now...I'll have to think more LOL. That blue one is stunning!
