CAS-ual Fridays Fall Card Day

Today I am using CAS-ual Fridays for a Fall card, and also entering it into the Mixed Media November Challenge; silhouette

For my background, I used alcohol inks.  What I wanted to share with you money savers out there is the paper that I used for this background.  [Yes, I did break down and purchase some of the trendy Yupo paper.  Hey that stuff isn't cheap, so in my mind, you need to use what you make!  That said, sometimes what you make isn't really usable, and there goes that expensive piece of Yupo paper.] SOLUTION!  I used the back side of a glossy photo paper sheet.  You see how it turned out--  beautifully!  I love it, and I love that my glossy photo paper is so much cheaper too!  That, my friends, is a win in my book!  Now that I got that information to you, I did use the lovely Casual Comfort stamp set, and Casual Trees Fri-die for my card.

I hope you enjoyed my money saving tip! Another one for you -- use my code VICKI2017 and save 15% off any CAS-ual Fridays products!

Thanks for stopping by~

Oooh now I've been wondering about getting myself some YUPO and having a go with my Copic markers (have seen it done), so I may try this trick of yours as the results really do look quite stunning! The colours you've chosen are perfect for this time of year. Xx

Its a stunning card Vicki and I love the colours you used. I know that Yupo is expensive and you can use glossy card stock aswell which is really good but dont forget if you have any yupo left over you can clean off if you dont like results or use the other side cause that works too. I am such a tight wad I refuse to throw out my failure and reactivate and try other colours till I get something I can use.
