Playing in Challenges

I wanted to play in the One-Layer Simplicity Challenge. This month is Home Sweet Home.  I kind of went really general.  My nephew lives in New York, and so this is his home.  I might be pushing it, but I can say it is a one-layer card :).

I used Fresh Squeezed, On Trend, along with a sentiment from Hero Arts, Decorate Your Holidays [both on Ebay?].  I sponged the background, and used a small sprayer with water for the "snow" type effect.  Appropriate for New York :).

I also am joining in over at CASology.  Again, I might be pushing the challenge "Sea", however, as soon as I saw the word, I instantly thought of making this.

Doesn't It looks like a photo of shells?

Surprise...
I used real shells.

I liked this so well, I framed it and it is hanging in my stamp room.

I had fun playing [pushing the limits] in these challenges!  Thanks for having them!

Thanks for stopping by~

These are both fantastic. I love the background you created for your first card, and your second looks so realistic (because it is). Thanks so much for playing along at CASology this week.

Your cityscape is an absolute stunner, Vicki! Gorgeous inking and spritzing! And yes, I totally thought that was a photo of seashells. :) Love how they pop off of the purple. Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!
