Today at Just Us Girls, Sue V has challenged us with a fun challenge - Water Color Stamping. It's really easy, ink up your stamp, spritz it with water, and stamp with it. I adore this technique and I loved my card for today.
I did it differently then the rest of the team did today. I used my Hero Arts Dotted Background stamp and inked it up, spritzed it, and stamped my panel. [You can see the water effect.] I stamped my bird [retired] using My Favorite Things Black Licorice Hybrid ink, and water colored my bird with a paint brush. [The ink did NOT smear. I wanted to share that, as I was thrilled!] - actually, I love my bird! It really is the first official "painted" image I have ever tried. I was inspired by our Guest Designer, Shirley-Bee [thanks mf!] - she does amazing cards with images and paint!
Anyway, I am also entering this into a few challenges; [new to me] City Crafter #215; bird, Cupcake Inspiration #264; colors coral, pool and yellow, Simon Says Monday Challenge; paint.
You really need to join in the JUGS challenge this week! If you have never tried this technique, you are in for a fabulous time, and if you have tried it before, you KNOW you will have a fabulous time!
Thanks for stopping by~
