A New Challenge [for me]

I found a challenge in Bloglovin that I was instantly inspired by.  I have said this before, but it needs saying again, a "card" doesn't usually come to my mind.  When it does, as in today's 2 cards, I jump up and go create.  [I need to take advantage of my short brain retention :).]

The challenge is BE Inspired #53 over at The Alley Way.  You need to use at least 1 TAW image and fortunately for me, they have a few digis you can use.

Yep, these are the digis I used.  I love that the star looks like a die cut!  I used Laura Basson's water color technique, ink up an acrylic pad, spritz with water, and stamp onto water color paper.  I LOVE THIS EFFECT!!  I used the rough side of my water color paper to get the textured look.  I am also entering this into the Just Add Ink Challenge; water coloring.

I then went on to create another card.  Again, this popped into my mind.  [Really, I can't tell you how I love it when an idea actually comes to my mind!]

I love this card too!  So clean and bright.  [I do have to say it does remind me of Ardyth's stunning creations.]

I had such a fun time with this challenge!  Ink to paper that works! :)

I am also, once again, playing around with my photography. I really like the blurred background that [my idol] Debby Hughes creates.  I haven't gotten there yet...

Thanks for stopping by~

OOOH. EMMMMM. GEEEE! I love that star (not keen on digis, but this may make me overcome that!) Love both of these colourful cards, but you knew I would, didn't you!

Two clever, eye-catching cards, Vicki! I need to try the water colour technique you used with the acrylic blocks. Hmmm...wonder if my distress markers will do in place of the ink pads...guess I'll find out! Fabulous inspiration - thank you!

That is one lovely star, hey!!! Both your cards are so beautiful, Vicki!! Your watercoloured bg looks great on the first one and I love the brightly coloured star on the second!! Lovely sentiment to go with the star! Amazing how different the cards look although they have exactly the same stamping on them! Beautiful!!

Gorgeous, delightful! How was the digi applied? Under or over the watercolor. Did you send the watercolor through the printer? Please enlighten me. Hugs
