Saturday Playing

I hit a few garage sales today - not much out there except hot weather. I got home early and started stamping.

A Blog Named Hero Arts had a fun challenge - use a recycled item.  I just had emptied a cookie container and thought - perfect! I ran some acrylic paint in 2 lines and mounted it on my card.  Kind of fun actually.
I used Dot Spots from Papertrey.  I really like this card, however I am so embarrassed as I should of used Hero Arts images.  Unfortunately, I got the challenges mixed up. {dork!} I'm still going to share my card,  but I don't think I will enter this into the challenge. [shoot] I was so impressed with my recycle item, I went ahead and entered this card :).

I have been noticing that colors on blogland are trending towards the softer colors.  Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge this week had a soft color inspiration photo also.  Since I have been wanting to see if I could do soft colors [so not me] I decided to join in.

By George, I think I did it!  I used Tropical Flowers from GKD and a sentiment from PTI's Harvest Berries.  A fun card to make, and I am really happy with the results! A Passion for Papertrey has a challenge of using at least 3 embellies - that I did correct anyway!

Thanks for stopping by~

Your cards are so awesome Vicki. I am not surprised one bit that you were able to do soft colors for that challenge. It came out beautiful too.

LOVE the cookie packaging. I may or may not have a preference for green & blue, too. Both cards are stunning.
