Muse and Class

I am so thrilled to be CASEing Tracy McNeely over at MUSE #27.  A muse is suppose to inspire you, and today, Tracy did! When I saw her card, I immediately went to PTI's Rosie Posie [again]. I love this stamp set!

My sentiment is from Verve, Making a Statement.  I have been having trouble with my Memento inks [blotchy-ness] lately, so I used Distressed inks for the flowers; Festive Berries, and Picked Raspberry.  I love the solid stamped image I got.

For my Summer Card Camp 2 homework today, Jennifer showed an awesome technique of making a die cut into an embellishment. I had to try it~

See those leaves?  Yep, I die cut it [Cherry Lynn] and embossed it 4 times!  It is so fun in real life - almost feels like shiny metal.  I adored the layered butterfly that Nichol used and tried that too [Memory Box].  Overall I am thrilled with this card!  The sequins weren't planned until I dropped the stamp pad and got black ink on my frame! [I hate that].  Once again, my sentiment is from Verve, Dream Big.

Another productive day!

Thanks for stopping by~

ps - Thank you ALL who commented regarding leaving a blog. You all made me feel much better by the nice things you said about my stamping! I am going to look at the good -- I still have a lot of Followers, Blogloving People, and EM Subscribers. They like my work, and that is a good thing~

Wow, wow, wow...I'm speechless. Both of these cards are amazing looking. I absolutely love the colors and the clean look of the first card. The second card just blows me away. It's gorgeous...from the circle frame, the butterfly, the leaves, right down to the paper you used. Just fantastic!

The ink on the flowers looks fantastic and I thought they were heat embossed. Your boo boo worked in your favor.

Love your cards! I just had trouble with my Distress Ink images & instead went to my Memento pads--funny, you never know what will work.
