Hero & Simon Challenges

I joined in a couple of challenges today.  A Blog Named Hero has a "new" challenge - however you interpret it, and Simon Says anything goes.  Well, new works for anything. :)

On this card,[I scored on this background stamp at Mike's], since it was a Christmas set,  I covered the MC with a Hi tab, and used one of my favorite Hero Arts stamp Just Saying Hi.

I am also entering this card.  Yep, I had to try the latest "new" technique out there - chalkboard.  Betsy Feldman has caused quite the new bandwagon with this technique.  How cool is that - create a technique and it takes off like lightning!  Good for you Betsy, great for the rest of us.  This is one super fun technique.  For those of you who aren't sure how to do this, I made a little photo tutorial;

Stamp image on black card stock -- emboss with white powder -- sponge white pigment over the top of embossed image -- layer for card.  Let me just say again, this is really fun to do, and the end results are very cool.
