Finally, I got to play in some challenges! [Busy, busy.] I love playing in the Hero Arts Challenge - Having a reason to use their stamps makes me happy :). For this challenge, I used one of the sketches they had:
I used the bottom left sketch
Maybe a loose version, but hopefully it works. I used the Crayon Resist Technique. [Emboss a piece of cardstock. Run a crayon over the "embossed" portion. Sponge on ink, I used Tim Holtz distress Evergreen Bough and Broken China. Wipe off embossed portion with a paper towel to remove the sponging off of the crayon resist.] Kind of a cool effect, makes it look almost like metal. I used my go-to Hero Arts fun stamps Holiday Cheer and Holiday Sayings.
I also made the following card for last week's One Layer Wednesday challenge - masking. [ I did get my card submitted. I just had to use my SCS gallery for linking.] However, I wanted to show all of you too :)
I really didn't plan on using the same color scheme, but I haven't had my turquoise fix and now, I feel better :). I used the Gina K Designs Wild Flowers for this card, and I made an acetate template for the bottom masking.
Thanks for stopping by~
