The colors this week over at SCS are really pretty together. I had my doubts, but I really liked the combo; Poppy Parade (bright red), Pool Party (aqua) and Delightful Daffodil (bright yellow). Hero Arts had a new technique that Sheri called Velveteen Stamping last week that I wanted to try too. Here is my card;
Well, here is the card WITH the dessert of ribbon.
Which one do you like better? I do kind of like the added ribbon...
I used the Stampin Up Script bg stamp for the background (retired), along with Gina K Designs Pressed Flowers, and Hero Arts Feather Grass and Friend. I had fun using this new technique, and it was really easy! And, didn't I tell you the colors work together!
Pop on over and play in the SCS Color Challenge! There aren't any "prizes", but you get the appreciation of fellow stampers in the form of comments! :)
Thanks for stopping by~

I'm for the ribbon - helps ground the card and makes the sentiment stand out more. Great flowers and love the colour combo you used.
I like the ribbon too. I've never seen this technique before so I went over and checked it out. Interesting and always fun to see something new that isn't too complicated.
Interesting technique - love the colours and yes I think ribbon too!
Thanks for the tip about Velveteen Stamping; I like the results and will have to check it out. The ribbon kinda finishes off the card, yet that may just be what we've become used to. I didn't think the first card was missing anything. Big help, huh?!
{Can you hear me purring?} THIS is STUN-NING!!!!
this is so beautiful
