Outlaws - Recycled and Green

Happy Green Day everyone! Remember, wear green, or you might get pinched :)

Today over at Outlaws Paper ala Mode challenge is recycle and have green on your project. I jumped over to Pinterest to get some ideas... [there are so many.] and this just caught my attention;

I love the look of painted bottles. Naturally, I didn't have the same tools (spray paint), so I used what I had (hey, its recycle) I pulled out my acrylic paint (its green) and got started.

I started with a recycled frappucino bottle
and did about 3 layers of paint, drying each layer with my heat gun - [I am just to impatient to wait] and dyed my twine with Tim Holtz stain (moss), and again dried it with my heat gun.

Added some Memory Box die cut keys (out of Spellbinders craft metal) (again Pinterest inspired),

lace and ribbon, and my bottle was done. I used PTI Butterfly Dreams and die for my pencil toppers, stuck them in the bottle and I now have a fun, recycled pencil holder.

Do you have a recycle project you've been meaning to make? Now is your chance! Pop on over to the Outlawz PAM Challenge, see the other DT's, and upload your project! Hope to see you there~
Thanks for stopping by~

Vicki, this is so cool and so clever. I really like it, especially the butterflies and dangling keys.
