Fun Sunday~

I had fun this week end -- I found a lot of challenges, and the best part?  I played in most of them!

Today's included [my 2 favorite] One Layer Wednesday 83; (inspired), this week hosted by Jennifer Stiles, and than Less is More 59; masking.

I was inspired by the blue block from Jen's son's "presents", so I made a "mask template" and sponged a couple shades of blue [for added depth], and used Gina K Designs stamp set All Occasions Tags for the heart and sentiment.

For my next card, I used the sketch from Retro Sketches 3.  I had a card from last week's sketch and forgot to upload it for the sketch challenge - duh! [ I felt better when I saw 2 other stampers had done the same thing!]  Today is the first day of the challenge and I am there!

Yesterday I found this tutorial on SCS.  How FUN..ny that Paper Players challenge today was CAS with buttons!  Well, of course I had to join in because I really wanted to try these self-made buttons!

So, what do you think?  I have to say I LOVE THESE!!  So fun and easy to make, and I am thrilled with the end result.

That's it for me today -- now I am off to start playing with my new Stamp School goodies that arrived!  You'll see what I did with them at the end of the month...

Thanks for stopping by~

I wondered about doing a card based on the blue block too Vicki... the other items looked a little tricky, but your card works superbly for the LIM challenge too!
Thanks so much

Hey...cool buttons! So glad you had a good w/e! Mine was filled with working both days and NO stamping either day! Hope to remedy that tomorrow and Tuesday when I'm off...in between painting and laundry. :-)

Love the "box" inspired card, Vicki. Blue and masking-two of my favourite things and you have used them so beautifully.

Beautiful blue card for LIM, one of my most favourite colours for card making (not that I use it very often, lol!). I do like the other card too and I'm off to find out how to make home made buttons!
