JUGS - Ghosting

This week at JUGS, Lisa chose Ghosting or another name is Versamark Resist. You can find the tutorial here. Meanwhile, I didn't have that great of success with my first attempt. You can barely even see the snowflakes in the back panel. [ I liked the card so I am showing you anyway.]

On my second attempt, you can see the "ghosting" a little better,

I used the newly released Gina K Designs Wishing you Joy Stamp TV Kit for my images on my cards. Just a heads up, when trying this technique, be sure to heat set the versamark BEFORE you sponge. I think it will turn out better then mine! :) I hope you try this technique, and be sure to upload your card over at JUGS - we'll be commenting.

Thanks for stopping by

Vicki both cards are beautiful! I love the fabulous colors of the first card and the pink and black on the second card! I know what you mean, I had a few attempts before I found the perfect paper - versa mark combo!!! Now I'm so addicted! Fabulous inspiration girl!

I like both of them a lot. The pink and black is a great color combo!

Both of your cards are very pretty, Vicki! I think maybe using darker inks will make it show up better, but I think it looks lovely on both! Your cards are always fabulous! :-)

I loved both these cards, Vicki! Even though the technique didn't show up as well on the first one, I think I like that card better. I love houses! hehe
Thank you for sharing with us!

Two great cards, Vicki. Love the snowflake one! The colour combo is one of my faves and love the ghost script in the BG.

Both cards rock Vicki! I love the first one best only because it reminds me of a snowy eve!

Either way, Vicki - you kicked out some SERIOUSLY stunning cards! Your frustration is why I've never lingered over this technique. The smudge factor can be frustrating, but your card {the second one for sure!} is SO attractive! It makes me thing, if you PLAN for the smudge factor, you and REALLY make it work!!! {It has a beautiful dyed fabric appeal!} SOOOO - way to make it WORK, sweet girl! I will DEFINITELY be using this one more happily in the future! Have a great day!!!!!!!

Those are both fantastic cards! I love the colors of the first one--so vibrant and happy! BUT, the second one is my fave--L-O-V-E the ghosting technique on that one and the colors are so soft and feminine! Great work!!! :)
