I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak ---- :)

Hi Everyone - gosh it seems like forevah since I posted for you all!  DH & I headed out to Atlantic City.  It is very pretty there, and I LOVED the surrounding water!  Just check out the beach!  It was really quite fabulous to look at~

While in Atlantic City I had the extreme pleasure of meeting 2 of my fellow DT's - Andrea Ewen (from the Dirty Dozen) and Colleen Dietrich (from Mark's Finest Papers).  It was so nice of them to drive in (Colleen 2 hours and Andrea 1 hour) to meet me!  We all hit it off like fast friends, did some lunch, did some shopping - stopped at Starbucks for [much needed] coffee, and then, more shopping!  The afternoon flew by so fast and it made a fabulous memory for me!!
This is the Girls!  Andrea on the left and Colleen on the right.  Oh Colleen is famous!  She had a news interview regarding Operation Write Home.  She did such a wonderful job - the perfect voice for an interview.  You can see it here.   I had to show this fabulous picture of them -- see how young and fresh they are!  (I used to photograph like this -- not sure what happened...oh yeah the 50's! lol)
Thanks Girls - I had a blast and it was fabulous to meet both of you!!

I also wanted to get a card uploaded.  I had to play in Susan's One Layer Wednesday.  This week was overlapping colors.  Susan is pretty easy on her challenge, so I think this qualifies.  There isn't a lot of white, but there are overlapping colors.  I used my favorite Direct to Paper technique, I did do Susan's one layer:
However, once done I wasn't impressed and wanted a touch more, so I stamped another element and popped it up.  I like this better.  I used Gina K Designs Elegant Elements, along with Masculine Messages.
Oh yeah, I used one of my pins for my inspiration.

I am really enjoying the Pin Interest site.  It's pretty awesome - go to ANY website (Crate & Barrel is a great example) click into a category (say bedding) - click Pin It, and it brings up just ALL the photos and none of the verbiage.  I go through them and pick out what inspires me.  Very easy, and very cool!

Well  my blogger friends -- this post was so much longer than I expected.  I don't think I can go without posting an entire week again --  to much information to be covered!  Bawahaha!
Thanks for stopping by~

I am so jealous!! You were in my area, I lived 3 miles outside of Atlantic City right off of the White Horse Pike. Worked in one of those casinos for 20 years too :)
It was awesome that you got to meet Colleen and Andrea while you were there, I hope you all had fun. Oh, how I miss that boardwalk and ocean...

Great colours and texture, Vicky; it reminds me of the sea. I cased one of your lovely cards last night and will have it up on the blog in the next few days. Thanks for keeping me inspired.

I saw the OWH interview as it aired here in the Philadelphia suburbs. Fantastic. You just have to love A.C. I don't get there as often as I would like.

Both cards are sooooo pretty, Vicki! I bet you know which one I like just a little better, though? Oh, sigh. The one-layer card makes me so happy!
