SCS Color Challenge - My SAMPLE
I got the best pm on Sunday, from Betty the Color Challenge Hostess over at SCS asking me if I wanted to make a sample for the color challenge! Well, OF COURSE I was honored to do it! When she gave me the colors - Bravo Burgundy, Going Gray and Crushed Curry [with text used as the dessert option] - I will admit, it stumped me at first! I then remembered the other morning driving to work, the sky was still a gray morning but the moon (!) ~ oh my gosh it was BIG and BEAUTIFUL and GOLDEN. There was my inspiration. Another stumper was I did not have Crushed Curry. So, I grabbed my So Safron and sponged it with Summer Sun and Rust. I think I got pretty close to Crushed Curry (on the computer version I saw anyway). I reverse masked the HUGE sun and then masked off different areas for the mountains and landline. I stamped with my script stamp and sponged gray over the moon since the clouds were in front of the moon I saw that morning. I used the Flourishes "Beauty in Nature" (purchased at MFP), and the sentiment is from Verve's "Fluttering By". I will be honest, I probably will never use these colors together again LOL - but, that's why they call it a challenge. What do you think~ did I get close to Crushed Curry? I'll be back tomorrow to tell you about My Color Challenge that I host over at Scrapbooking Crafting & Friends... hopefully you'll want to play in my challenge!
