I'm being Featured!

I was so complimented when fellow Stamper (and Arizonian) Donna Huisinga wanted to feature me on her blog, As The Card Rack Turns.  How fun is that!!  Be sure and check out her blog -- it is very eclectic with some fabulous tips.

Meanwhile, I created this card for the feature:

The cut outs are being seen everywhere out there in blogland, so I made a small step by step on how to make one:
I am doing Direct to Paper technique.  Just as it says, using your ink pad, streak it from top to bottom.

I cut a center panel, and again, used DIP to match the background

I cut out a seahorse from the inside panel.  I was going to use dotted dp as a bg to him, but changed my mind.

Using a stamp positioner, I stamped the sentiment on another panel behind the seahorse panel.

I added another panel to pop out the seahorse panel

Added some plant moss and sea shells for added texture and interest.  I glued these down with glossy accents

And the finished card 1 more time

Well, I hope maybe you learned a little something new today, and DONNA - thank you so much for featuring me on your blog today! It's been fun~

Thanks for stopping by~

Congrats on being featured, Vicki! What a color-drenched seaworthy card. Love that little cluster of shells and such; reminds me of something nature would make and leave on the beach!

I just love the seahorse card.
So, you swiped ink onto the card panels, then you said you cut out the seahorse?
You cut it out? OK, I'm new here, so that may seem fundamental to you, but, seriously, did you have a punch or what? I enjoy your cards so much. Eye Candy!
I love your color choices. Well done, as usual, u always make such beautiful cards:)Anna Jernigan

Back again, because I completely forgot to say Congrats! on being featured. Honor, indeed. Plus: another Arizonian, I'm proud of us sun-drenched, ocean challenged, sand people. LOL Seriously, I've seen your cards, you miss the ocean, right? Aren't you from the west coast? I lived in Hawaii for a time. No Blog-AnnaJernigan:)
