Playing in Challenges

Oh how fun is it to have some extra time to play in a couple of challenges!  Today I chose Freshly Made Sketches #256, along with [brand new to me] Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #87; masculine anything goes.

I tried a new technique for me, embossing over water color. It worked pretty good actually.  It certainly was easy enough [with the help of my MISTI].    If you emboss twice, it gives a nice raised effect with the textured water color paper.  I used Inspired By Stamping Just For You set, along with a MFT Jumbo Fish Tail Banner Die-namics die.  I enjoyed these challenges -- thanks!

See ya!

Thanks for stopping by~

Hi Vicki, what an eye-catching card! The colours are wonderful. That's the first thing that drew me in. You've done a great job of combining the two challenges, as well. The sketch lends itself very well to our masculine theme. I love the stitched banner on which you did the wonderful watercolouring. Adding the gold embossed sentiment...perfect. And those pretty blue sequins with the bead (?) in the centre are just the right finishing touch. Thanks so much for finding and joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

The gold embossing and the sequins really make this card look awesome against that blue background.

Spectacular colours on your watercoloured tag! So often, we think masculine means dark colours. You have proved that it doesn't have to. Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday.
