Instagram September Tag Hop

It's time again for the Instagram Tag Hop.  I didn't go with the suggested theme, Fall, as I am gearing up for Christmas.  [It is around the corner!]

A few years back, a customer gave me a [lot] of Christmas stickers.  When going through my Christmas products, I came across these.  Well!  How perfect was that timing!  These were very easy to create, and the end result is a win in my book.

I am planning on making a few more of these and I will be using them on my gifts.

Do you want to see more fun gift tags?  You can see the hop list HERE.  Have fun~

Just Us Girls Challenge #773 - Die Week

The gallery is going to be pretty!

I used a few stashed products for this beauty.  Stickers on the 2 base corners, and some free ephemera I printed off a few years ago!  It is funny how you find forgotten items when looking for something else.

Yes, I am very happy with the end result!

Your turn!  Come on over to JUGS #773 and show us your card with die cut flowers~

Addicted to CAS Challenge #263 - Nature

This is going to be a lovely gallery!

I have had some stickers for months.  They are so pretty, and nature geared, that I used them for todays card. I think I can honestly say, I have never made a sticker only card.

That said, I sure love this end result!  Some people have the talent of coloring like this - not me. I'll take the help from companies.

Ok, your turn.  Come on over to the ATCAS Challenge #263 and show how you use nature.

Simon Says Monday Challenge

I got an email regarding the Simon Says Monday Challenge; Thinking of You.  This was the perfect challenge for today as my BFF's mom passed away [unexpectantly] on Saturday night.  I'm so sad for my friend - she is an only child and has A LOT to deal with, along with her grief.  I wanted to make a card for her knowing I was thinking of her.

I actually used a mix of stickers!  The images worked really well to make a pretty sympathy card, which was my intention.

I adore the font of the sentiment too.  It worked beautifully IMO.

That's it for today.  Thanks SS, I am really happy with my end result.

Just Us Girls Challenge #642 - Photo Week

I really like this photo!  But then again, I like green.

I started with a dot stenciled background [from the pillow], and then used my new stickers of foliage.  I am in love with the these stickers - the detail is stunning!

Lastly, I added the embossed hb sentiment strip.  Yep, I did it myself rather then using a pre-printed sentiment.

Okay, your turn!  Come on over to JUGS Challenge #642 and play along!  This is an easy photo to be inspired from~

ps - what do you think of my new watermark for this team?  I do think it's fun!

Inkspirational, Krafty Chicks & Freshly Made Sketches

I received some challenge emails, and was inspired.  So, off to the stamp room I went.....

Let's start with Freshly Made Sketches #543.  Can you say fell in love.... yep I loved this sketch!

I literally just got these stunning stickers [in the mail] and the sketch arrived in the next day's email. Perfect!

My sentiment is from Inspired By Stamping [OOB].  I do love a mixed font sentiment.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I went on to play in the Krafty Chicks Challenge #619 - (stamp act), a stamped image, along with the Inkspirational Challenge #269 - Monochrome.

It was a toss up between blue and green for my favorite color - you see what won.  I used the solid layer from STAMPlorations Layered Poppies [retired], and then the butterfly from Hero Arts Antique Engravings.

The sentiment is from Gina K Designs Wild Blossoms.

I had created 3 of the framed panels for the above slimline card, but when I went to put the card together, I only had room for 2.  Well, I wasn't about to waste a panel, so I made a freebie card [for you all] and my stash.

While I enjoyed making the slimline card, I really like this one too.  I have been on a serious CAS kick lately, and this screams CAS.

I used a Simon Says Sentiment Strip for this card.

That's it for me today!  Thanks Challenges - I had fun!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #249

On to 2020 with STAMPlorations Inspirations.  This is the beginning of my 7th year with this company!  Crazy, but it's been amazing creating with the projects!

I seem to be on a round card trend.  Sometimes, they just work with the images you are using like these roses from Blossom Overture, along with the [so fabulous] Good Things Clear Stickers sentiment stickers.  [I just adore these stickers!]  I used water color paper and water colored the image.  Not sure about the washed gray background, but I'm sticking with it.

Did you know STAMPlorations carries sequins?  Yeah baby!  I added a few sequins, and some faux stitched framing.  Once all was dry, I added the panel onto a black round card base.

(**Lesson:  Use black embossing to maintain a stark black outline.**)
