I Spy #9 - Emily Keaton

This week Emily Keaton was SPIED. She had an interesting sketch

I used the fun FREE digital paper from Mel Stamps.  This color really doesn't photograph correctly - it should be lime green. (picture it - lol)  I am using this for another graduation card.  I love this sentiment from Gina K Designs Believe in Yourself.  This is the 3rd Anniversary set and is FREE with $35 worth of purchases.

Be sure and pop over to I Spy Sketches and check out Emily's card, along with the other DT's

It's SP & Company Wednesday Post

Hi everyone - mid week, Wednesday, and that means it is time for my SP & Company post.

I am having so much fun with this mustache image [and the svg cut shape] from the Mustache Madness stamp set -- especially since DH has a mustache.  See how I didn't make the image totally black? -- well, DH has gray so I did that intentionally -- hee hee, a little gray in the image :).  Am I bad or what? LOL.  My background image is Houndstooth Background.

Do you need masculine cards?  Then this set is what you are looking for!

SCS Color Challenge #368

This is my week over at SCS for the color challenge - I chose Elegant Eggplant, Concord Grape and Melon Mambo, with a dessert of stripes.  Not quite sure why I chose these colors- not really my style, but a challenge for me too I guess. :)

I used the fun, newly released images from Gina K Designs, Wild Flowers.  Because I don't have the SU ink pads in these colors, I used Stamp School's colors; Pop Tone  Grape Jelly and Cotton Candy, and Grapesicle (released April 1).  I love that these colors do actually match the SU colors so closely, you wouldn't know [if I didn't tell you].  These inks are like the old SU pads (the ones I liked so.much.better.) and they are only 4.99 each (can you say cheap), and yes, there are re-inkers too!

If you like these colors and are inspired, pop on over to SCS and play in my Color Challenge - I would love it!  You do need to become a member (its FREE).  SCS is an amazing site for answers to ANY craft question you might have and let me tell you INSPIRATION galore with the literally 1,000's of gallery cards available!  I can't recommend this site highly enough!

Couple of Challenges

Once again, I am late, but still on time to play in Susan's One Layer Wednesday challenge; Pinks and Orange.  One thing about one layer cards, they don't take much explanation.

I used a template of circles to do my sponging of pinks and orange, and the Gina K Designs images from Botanicals and Botanical Dreams.

This also qualifies for Less is More; 3 past challenges. I went with #6 One Layer Off Edge, #19 in the Frame (my sponged circles), #41 One Layer Leaves.

This next card is for Paper Players.  Ann had a fabulous sketch!

I had some flowers left over from my Papertrey Hop card earlier today and the colors were perfect with this free download paper I used.  (Not sure who I got this from, sorry).

That's it for me today.  I seriously need to get some housework done!  Hope you all had a crafty week end.  Thanks for stopping by~

Papertrey Customer March Hop

Today is the PTI Customer blog hop! This month is an inspiration photo:

I picked up the colors, and the stripes.  I used Beautiful Blooms II (and dies), along with The Big Series #4.  Another fun customer hop for Papertrey!  I can't wait to see the other entries!  In these colors, the Inlinkz gallery is going to be beautiful~

This next card was my original card I made for this hop.  Can you tell I sorta forgot about the inspiration photo? (whoops)  I didn't even realize it until I started this blog post. (oh good grief) This card's saving grace is that it does qualify for the Deconstructed Sketch No 44.  Phew!  I'm sure glad!  I didn't want to make a card just to make it! :)

On this card I used the same set, Beautiful Blooms II (and dieTurning a New Leaf (and die), and from the Think Big Series, #3.  I really enjoy the bigger fonts -- they make fabulous focal images!

Thanks so much for stopping by~

Just Us Girls & Outlawz Paper ala Mode

[For Wendy's Birthday Hop go down one post]

This week JUGS is a 3D - cards and card holder and over at Outlaws its a BIG bow, the bigger the better.  Well, that was easy enough to combine.

My card holder is a recycled acrylic holder from a frame I bought. [I always keep those boxes]  Perfect for these notecards. [Flourish is from PTI; Fancy Flourish.]

Here is my big bow.  Just a great little Hostess gift.

Sound like fun?  Come on over to Just Us Girls with your box and cards, be sure and make a big bow and then pop on over to the Outlaws Paper ala Mode and join in that challenge too!  A twofer day~ :)

I Spy Sketches 8 - Brigit

Our Spied Sketch today came from Brigit.  I have been an admirer of her's for a while..  She creates stunning and very unique [gorgeous] cards!

This was just a great sketch!  Luckily, I had purchased the small & large rectangle nesties a while back -- they were just what I needed to get the perfect line up of the triangles. I used Hero Arts Antique Flowers and Butterflies, along with a sentiment from [again Hero Arts] Thank You for Being My Friend. I love my card! :)

Come on over to I Spy Sketches - see the DT's samples (beautiful!) and Brigit's original, and then, make YOUR card for the challenge!  Hope to see you~

Fluttering Paper PTI

I found some more challenges that I just had to play in! :) I just have so much fun with them~
Papertrey is running a graduated backgrounds Make It Monday Challenge -- [love this effect], and I always seem to go for Butterfly Dreams, which was perfect for Flutter By Wednesday's anything goes; must use a bfly.

Over at Papercrafts Connection they are running a March Rainbow challenge.  Naturally, I have been inspired from Pinterest (so many rainbows!) and have been wanting to make a rainbow card.

I used the fun felt from Stamp School. I didn't have orange, but you get the idea of a rainbow. I used the gorgeous flourish from Tim Holtz in black felt for contrast. This card is questionable, [in my mind] but I am going with it. My sentiment is from GKD Hopeful Hearts.

That's it!  Thanks for stopping by~

Gina K Designs - Spring has Sprung Hop

The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to a fun Spring Has Sprung blog hop. For this hop we will showcase Spring cards or projects with you!!! The DT Members have all used a wide variety of Gina K. Designs stamp sets to inspire you to get inky too! Come play along with the Current Challenges at Stamp TV!!!

If you came from Tina's blog, then you're right where you should be. If not, please go to Stamp TV  where you will find a list of all those participating.

I used the fabulous new Stamp TV Kit Petals & Wings, along with the matching paper, Petals & Wings (yep, it comes with the kit!).  So filled with gorgeous Spring colors!  My sketch is from the Deconstructed Sketch 43.

That's it for the DT hop today.  I hope you had fun, as usual I sure did!

SP & Company - Wednesday card

Hi Everyone - it's Wednesday, and that means it's SP & Company card day!

Not that you can tell, but I stamped a piece of designer paper (Miss Caroline Howdy Doody) with the Circletastic Background stamp, and cut out the solid butterfly. (Cherry Lynn Angel Wing)

Then with vellum, I cut out the top, detailed butterfly (Cherry Lynn Exotic Butterfly small).  I used one of the sentiments from Mustache Madness.
