Stamp TV Free For All Friday
Tina is the Hostess for this week's Free For All Friday. The challenge was a round card. I used the Spellbinder's Mittens dies with some Christmas cards I had picked up on clearance at Mike's. [Looks like knitted mittens huh? Love that.] I finished off the inside (using GKD Winter Mittens, (which is compatible with the Spellbinders Mittens dies) to go along with the candle I will make..
I also wanted to let you all know that Gina K Designs is having an awesome deal for World Card Making Day starting Saturday! Check this out:
Are there some wonderful stamps here or what! Get on over to the GKD Store and check out the stamp sets you always wanted, but were waiting to buy. How perfect to get FREE sets!
Have fun stamping - thanks for stopping by~

Freshly Made Throwdown
Are you like me and buy, buy, buy then put it away, and than FORGET you have them? Well, if not, good for you - me on the other hand -- slap my head! I am so happy to use my new Verve goodies - and yes, I forgot about them... :(. There were even DIES now you tell me [who loves dies] how I could forget that! Kinda ridiculous I'm thinking!
Anywoo, I used the 2 Verve dies for my tag with sentiment Every Season, a sizzix bird die [that I really have had forever] and PTI leaf die, along with the triangle border die. It's simply a dyin card! :). I entered this for the Freshly Made Sketch #4 and the Color Throw Down 161; coral, chocolate, green and poppy.
I got a request for some bookmarks and this is what I made. Just a fun little project, that will make me a little money anyway. I wanted a goodie box to put these in rather than a bag.
Here is a side view.
I wanted to share how easy it is to make a box.
[Thanks to my friend Karen over at Studio at the Lake] who made box making so easy for me!!]
BOTTOM: Size you want plus 2" all around - gives you a 1" edge. [My biggest bookmark was 3x6. My box bottom cardstock was 5x8]
TOP: same size cardstock plus 1/8th" [My lid cardstock was 5 1/8 x 8 1/8]
Final box measures 6.25 x 3.25 - perfect to hold the bookmarks and what great re-usable packaging.
Oh yeah - just FYI -- I found my photos from my Watermark Tutorial!! I have reinstated my watermark directions at the [tab] top of my blog. If you want a watermark for your cards I have made the directions very easy!! If you create a watermark, I would love for you to let me know how the directions were for you.

Mix It Up Monday & SCS Color Challenge
The color challenge this week over at SCS is Espresso, Cherry and Pool Party with dessert of corrugated and the MIUM Challenge was an inspiration which had the same colors! [I love that!] I went CAS with just a general card. Seeing the samples over at SCS, I realized these colors do make beautiful holiday cards. Problem? I am not there yet -- we were 100 degrees today! That does not scream Fall and holidays to me! Hopefully soon our weather will change and I will get in the mood for the holidays.
Meanwhile, I used the fun Gina K Designs stamp set Home Is. I also used GKD paper - Chocolate Brown, Cranberry Tart and Ocean Mist. My butterfly is from Cheery Lynn Designs.

PTI September Customer Blog Hop
It is always fun when Papertrey has their Customer Blog Hop. This time, I have more PTI images to play with (and I so LOVE the dies). I used tag, leaf, flower, Fillable Frames #10, and the bottom border for my dies. Sets I used for this card - Turning a New Leaf, Blooming Blooms II, Background Basics: Text Style, Fillable Frames #10 and Butterfly Dreams. [Told you I had more sets to play with!]
Nicole had an inspiration photo for today's challenge. I picked up the stripes (of course I did!) and the colors. I am still not ready for Fall, and we are still 105+ here in AZ, so the brighter colors work.
I had fun making this tag card. But than again, I have fun making all my cards! :)

JUGS DT Challenge
I have about 15 cigar boxes that a friend of mine gave me. Well, I really have been procrastinating in decorating them, because really, I struggle with it. JUGS is having a recycle challenge, so fate stepped in... Here is my attempt. Ya know I really hope the next one I do goes easier~ :)
JUGS is also running a DT challenge. They want a card and a 3D project. Told you fate stepped up with the above challenge, so I am adding in a card to complete the try out for the Team.
They have a sketch to follow.
That is nice, and I loved the sketch.
I have been following this blog from the get go. I would love being on the Team~~ Keep your fingers crossed okay?

Gina K Designs CSS Blog Hop
If you are here for the CSS Hop, you should be coming from Stamp TV. I am so happy to be the first stop on today's fun hop!! :)
So, the theme for this hop is a shaker card and Fall. Well, as you can see my "Fall" consists of flowers and butterflies (in the shaker portion). I am probably really pushing the limit with my "Fall", colors, but I loved this card and decided to use it anyway. I used the totally fun designer papers from Echo Park Dots & Stripes (only my FAVORITE combination) and I used the Gina K Designs sentiment from the stamp set Dreams, illustrated by Tami Mayberry. GKD sells the doilies and she also sells the Spellbinders Labels 4. [Extra bling and flowers are from Michael's.] Entered this in Fluttering By too
Be sure and leave a comment along your way, there will be a random winner of [your choice] up to a $24.95 Gina K Designs stamp set! Oh, free is so good!! Thank you Gina!!
I hope you have fun with the hop and get totally shaken up and inspired! Your next stop is Tera Fujan's blog.

Freshly Made Sketch is JustRite
I am really liking the sketches from Freshly Made. I was able to use a new image I got from Gina K Designs, and used my Spellbinder's Leaves along with a MS punch I have only used 2 times! How ridiculous is that? -- I have had this punch for 2 years! HA! Tell me this isn't a collector's hobby~ :)
I kind of got this backwards -- I really should of used this Stampin Up image (Essense of Love) with the Freshly Made, but I didn't. JustRite is running a Fall color Challenge. This is my colors at dusk-- lol. A tad cheating, but all I have are sentiments from JustRite, and I needed to add to my sympathy card stash. (Unfortunately, I have used a few too many lately). I loved this color scheme for this type of card and I am going with it! Who says Fall only has to be oranges and browns??? :)
NOTE:
In case you are popping in before this sends out [to emails], come back -- The GKD CSS Girls are having another Treasure Chest Hop - Shake it Up! Hope to see you later -- Thanks for stopping by~

Taylored Expessions Customer Blog Hop
Welcome to my blog for the Taylored Expressions Customer Blog Hop.
While I was at CHA this past summer, Taylor had put this fun little set in the SCS Welcome bag! [It is part of the Apple Doodle Ink line.] This set works perfect for me -- as many cards as I make, I am NEVER on time getting them mailed. [Really, it is just ridiculous!]
I hope you are having fun on the hop today. This is my first hop with Taylored Expressions and I am having a blast!

SCS Color Challenge
It's my week over at SCS for the color challenge. I was inspired by an ad I saw - forgot to take a picture of it unfortunately. However, the colors are Tempting Turquoise, Orange and Olive Green. I picked a dessert of leaves. It seems that is the trend, I just thought it would make it easy. :)
I used the bigger sentiment from Papertrey' Think Big #1, and some glittered flowers that I have had forever., added some texture, and this card was done. Just a layered CAS I guess :). Oh yeah, I almost forgot - I got this sketch from Decontructing Jen #19.

CAS Challenge SCS & Less Is More
I just love making CAS (clean and simple) cards. Really, they are my favorite. I used the Gina K Designs Elegant Elements for the background, and used my Spellbinders "Assorted Leaves" dies with sponging. This also qualifies for the Less is More Challenge; anything goes. They are trying to get 1000 entries this week! I am sure they will accomplish it. I have a few more days and you know I will have a few more cards...
Thanks for stopping by - I sure appreciate the comments~

Featured Stamper
I played in the Featured Stamper Challenge over at SCS. I saw my favorite technique (water spritzing) on her card so I had to play. I used 2 of the cards today since I saw the butterfly. I just love using my Cheery Lynn Butterfly die! I used Papertrey's Polka Dots Basics and Dot Spots, along with the beautiful sentiment from GKD Celebrate the Season.

CAS x 2 + SCS Challenges = 3
I found a few challenges today. This card is for CAS-ual Fridays, they want cute little cards. [This card is a 3x3.] I adore little cards - they work perfect for the gift bag, or just a little note for someone.
This is also for Sweet & Sassy over at SCS - a recipe; 2 papers, sentiment, no ribbon, 3 round embellies. Cute huh?
I used the sketch from Clean & Simple 158.
This one, another 3x3, [for CAS-ual Friday, again] is also for my Friend Mary's challenge for Sweet & Sassy over at SCS - a Christmas Card. It also qualifies for the 3rd Sweet & Sassy challenge - add a decorative border.
And, this last one (again, CAS-ual Friday] is again, for Mary's Christmas Card Challenge, and the Sweet & Sassy challenge, to add a decorative border.
Because I made 3 cards (so darn cute in real life), I also made a little box holder. This is a gift option I might use rather than using them separately. We'll see. Meanwhile, I used the fun stamp set from Gina K Design Merry & Bright. The coffee cup card is from Cool Beans, the buy 3 stamp sets get it free.
I had so much fun making these little cards. Thanks CAS-ual Friday Ladies -- you started it all :).

Gina K Designs September Inspiration DT Blog Hop - Day 3
This is the closed up portion of my sample today using GKD My True Love Gave To Me. On this sample, I used EVERY IMAGE in this set! I can honestly say, I have never done that before. How? Well, check this out:
Isn't this a fun book! I will say, it took some time to make, but I was thrilled with the end result!
And, last but not least, my final sample is made from the Buy 3 GET THIS FREE set Cool Beans.
Totally LOVE LOVE LOVE this set -- you all know (well, if you didn't, you do now) I work at Starbucks. This set is PERFECT for my co-worker gifts this year -- I will be making more!
To cute huh! I bought some white bags, and will decorate those to match this cute little dotted bucket (Target clearance 50 cents-get out! I got 6) and candle. Perfect little something gift.
That's it for me. I had fun this month making samples for your inspiration. I hope I gave you some ideas for little Christmas/ Hostess gifts too.
