Playing for Fun

When I saw Jennifer McGuire's latest video; Background Die Cut Techniques, I had to give it a try.

While Jennifer makes it look really easy [like everything she does!], not so much for me.  However, the second attempt did work, kind of.

Here is the "left over" main pieces of the cover plate.  [I never did get the craft foam to cut through, so this is all glued down to the card base.]  My HUGS is from My Favorite Things.

I used Papertreys Birthday Wishes word die.  [I adore the font on this!]

The trick was using a cover plate that had bigger pieces.  I used this one from My Favorite Things. I'll have to give that craft foam backing another try. [I loved the dimensional look]  It's frustrating when something that looks "easy" isn't!

A day of simple playing - no challenges, nothing but experimenting. While frustrating, it was a fun day.

Thanks for stopping by~

They look great! I’ve been wanting to try this technique too but was worried it wouldn’t be as easy as she makes it look! 🙄
