CAS Mic Up & Dies R Us Challenges

I do love the beginning of the month when all the "monthly" challenges start up.

Today, I am joining in at the April CAS Mix Up Card Challenge; Rubber band technique.

I started by sponging on 2 Distress Oxide inks on a cut out circle.  Then, I took an acrylic block [wrapped with rubber bands] and spritzed it with water, and I stamped it on the circle.  Once dried [with a ghosting effect] I inked up the rubber bands, and stamped that on the circle also.  I think this technique made for a fabulous background!  I used Dare 2B Artzy's, Thanks Layer Die.

I went on to play in the Dies R Us April Challenge; Anything Goes.

I used basically the same layout as my first card, only this time I used the Die-namites Rosie Rose die cut out on a panel, and backed that with an inked background panel.  I used Dare 2B Artzy's, Congrats Layer Die.  Again, I do love the look with the inked background.

Thanks Challenges~  I had fun!

Thanks for stopping by~

Two wonderful card designs. I love the use of the rubber band to make a background. That was a favorite of mine years ago when I did not have lots of tools and supplies.

A brilliant idea to spritz the rubber bands with water and add some ghosting to your background along with the bright blue! Very pretty with the bold die cut sentiment! Thanks, Vicki, for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! Pretty rose too!

Such a great effect you've achieved with the ghosting effect and the rubber band technique. The colours you've used are so pretty and the black and white die cut looks fabulous against it. Very striking second card too and yes I love the look of the inked background too. Thank you so much for joining in The CAS Mix UP Challenge with your first glorious card.
