Heartfelt Creations Alumni December Hop

My favorite time again~  The Heartfelt Creations Alumni Hop. This month's hop is dedicated to a fellow stamper; Penny Dell.  While I didn't know her, I knew her work with HFC.  It is so sad when we lose a Designer at such a young age.  Our sympathies are with her family and friends.

When using the images of Heartfelt Creations, I feel they deserve a layered, more elaborate card vs my normal CAS style.  This is good -- makes me step it up. :)

I used the following HFC products:

Malabar Clematis HCPC 3453 - retired
Cross and Lilies HCD 719 - retired

Well, this is kind of embarrassing making a card where you can't get the products!  Therefore, I made a second card, [making sure products are available!]

Okay, this is better.  Products used;

Now for even more fun just continue on with the hop!  Remember to leave your comments along the way.  One commenter will be randomly chosen to win a $25 gift certificate to Heartfelt Creations!

Thanks for stopping by~

So gorgeous...And I have the same issue. I check out the store and match up with my stash before I go creating. I've got SOOOOOO many retired sets and my non-retired stash is dwindling. I need to get some new ones to give my HC collection an update! :)

Both are gorgeous, Vicki. Penny was such a talented creator and will be missed by so many lives she touched throughout the papercraft world.

Beautiful cards in memory of Penny who will be greatly missed in the card making world and otherwise. She did such lovely work always and she was a lovely lady too! I grew to know her a bit through the internet as we connected through many cyber sites and Facebook.

beautiful cards--I love the sketch maps on both. You should have a retirement party blog hop sometime. I'm sure people who own the retired products would love to continue to see how to use them.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful design. Old products are great. I don't usually copy the exact art....I use it for the base design. Isn't that what CASE is all about. Thanks for both of the designs.

You've accomplished layered elegance on both cards, Vicki! The red/blue flower cluster on the first and blue blooms and tilted panel on the second, catch my eye. Double delights...
