Winnie & Walter Plus

Today is another overload post of cards. [This should be it for overload ;)] -- I went on to play in some more challenges yesterday for World Card Making Day, (while DH watched football.)

It all started with the Winnie&Walter list of challenges, then, I joined in a few other challenges along the way.  The plus to this post, W&W had separate Iin-linkz (SUPER YAY!)

Ready?  Here we go; Starting with the stamp room disaster;

BASIS:  I started with what Shay called a *masterboard for my background.  I used an 8.5 x 11 sheet of water colored paper, and using my [so favorite] Dylusional Ink Sprays [Fresh Lime and Lemon Zest], I sprayed the entire sheet. [Have I mentioned how much I LOVE these sprays!] Once the sheet was dry, I cut it down for my card panels and started creating.

Challenge 1 - Water Color with Vanessa

I used a paintbrush to sprinkle water onto the panel, and used a paper towel to blot it off.  I love using water color like this - a fun effect.  I used Avery Elle Petals & Stems, along with Gina K Designs, Great Sayings [retired].

Challenge 2- Color Challenge with Heather; aqua, mint, yellow and kraft.

Using the *masterboard, I did some Bokeh effect.  The shadow behind the happy (Avery Elle; Simply Said) was kraft, but I used too much white pigment on it - oops.  I used my Hero Arts Palm Die, and my label maker for the birthday.

Challenge 3 - Sketch with Gayatri
I looked at my stash, and was thrilled to find the perfect stickers to use with this sketch!

See what I mean?  Perfect!  I put EWW as the sentiment in purple metallic paper, but that didn't even come close to photographing right! I am entering this into the Curtain Call Challenge; Going Batty.

Challenge 4 -  Metallic/ Gold with Lydia

I just used one of the cut panels from the *masterboard for this card, while adding some washi tape at the bottom, and some sponged shell dies I also had in my stash.  My gold Thank You is from Avery Elle Many Thanks, using Ranger Metallic Gold Embossing Powder.

With this *masterboard panel, I used a new Darcie Fall Leaf Embossing Folder I just got.  Awesome embossing, nice and deep.  I used an image from Inspired By Stamping; Masculine Tags, along with a sentiment from Avery Elle; Laurels.  I'll be sending a package to my son and will be including this card.

While you can't see the actual partial I did, I did use this technique.  I used Hero Arts Real Leaves, along with some images from Basic Grey; Indian Summer Fauna Stamps. Since  this is a Fall card, it qualifies for a few challenges; A2Z Scrapbooking; Fall using Hero Arts, The Male Room; Fall and the colors from The Color Throwdown.

Challenge 7 - Masterboard with Shay  While some of my first cards (in this post) used a masterboard,  I wanted separate cards for each challenge, so I made another one.  Again, I used Dylusions Ink Spray, this time only using one color; Crushed Grape. I have to say, I am not a fan of purple, but WOW I love this shade a lot!

Okay - this is the final W&W challenge. Whew - craziness huh? :)  Rather then separate photos, I just have this one, and I will just describe what I did.  Vampire; I used Gold Perfect Pearls mixed with water on my worksheet, and ran the panel through it.  The Mummy, I used the water sprinkle technique as described from the first challenge.  The Flower, I die cut out the flower [Die-namites, Rosy Rose] from the masterboard, and then inlaid it with the gold pieces.  The sentiment is from an OOB company.  The Bat, I just added washi tape and left the panel alone.  My Halloween figures are stickers that I found in my stash.  My Halloween cards qualify for The Paper Player's Challenge; Halloween

I had an amazing crafty week end!  Thanks to all the challenges, and you all for your encouraging comments! I do love this hobby :)

Thanks for stopping by~

Wow! You have been busy! I adore the colours on your masterboard and it's also one of my favourite techniques to splatter water onto watercolours and blot it off - it's such an easy and effective technique. Time for a cuppa for you now! Xx
