Some Challenges Starting 2015

Happy New Year everyone.  I realized I didn't have a post for today - well, I had to rectify that!

I joined in a few challenges and mixed them all together with this one card;

I just adore the tiny bird from Lawn Fawn Year 4!  He is so cute. I also used a Hero Arts stamp set I have had forever, but I have never used it! [sheesh]  However, that qualifies for Darnell's NBUS Challenge #3; new and anything goes.  I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #167.  I also used a new technique, using a white crayon [new for me], I drew some lines on my paper, inked up an acrylic block and spritzed it with water and laid it over the crayon.  You can see the subtle lines in the background.  This qualifies for the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #8; new technique.

Starting out 2015 with some fun challenges!!

Thanks for stopping by~ If you have a question, please leave an email so I can answer you :)

Love the card and fantastic colors. Great way of using that never before used stuff. I have lots of that type of thing too, but not sure I can get to using them for awhile at least.

Wow, Vicki! I never thought of that background technique! This is a must try. I love to try anything once, and if it turns out great, I do it again and again. I've tried the galaxy technique and LOVE it...so much fun with that. This card came out cutie-patutie!
