Just Us Girls #274 - Word

Winner HFC Hop - Cathy Hanes

I thought about the word this week, and kind of went blank.  I am sooooo done with Christmas for at least this week [a new challenge coming.....], so, I went to my favorite inspiration spot, Pinterest, and found this beauty;

I am so drawn to the Bokeh effect.  Did you notice all the Christmas programs and advertisements using this effect?  I did, it just jumped out out me.  Anyway, on with my card.

My goal for 2015 is to Make It Work.  I am pulling out stamps I haven't used forever, and making them current by creating "trend" type of cards.  I did some Bokeh technique on this card for the "snow" effect, along with using an OOB image of the tree.  [Did you see all the forest with deer type of cards over the holiday?] I also used the stamped borders instructions from PTI Make It Monday My snowflakes and sentiment are from Verve, Snowflake Splendor [also discontinued].

On a side note, did you notice how my background is out of focus?  I splurged and took an on line Photography class from Craftsy.  I am happy to say, I FINALLY figured out the setting on my camera to achieve this look! I am quite thrilled with this to be honest!  I love the effect.  I am hoping the more I play with my camera [finally], I will get better.

So, now it's your turn to pop on over to JUGS #274 and show us how "Winter" inspires your card!

Thanks for stopping by~ If you have a question, please leave an email so I can answer you :)

This is lovely Vicki.. Good for you taking a camera class on line, the photo is excellent. But your cards always look good when you photograph them. I am still having trouble. :(
