One thing about releases, they give me no reason to play in challenges - blog is full ya know. However, I was going through withdrawal after 2 days of no creating, so I am sqeezing this post in between the Release posts - I just had to :).
I certainly wanted to play in Papercraft Star Challenge 156 - I mean, shoot I was so fortunate to win their blog candy [so fun!] - I had to thank them with more then just an email.
I know, it should say TY but I am playing the challenge, right? :) I was so inspired by the collage feel of the inspiration, I made a collage type card. I used my new Silhouette cutter for the HB, and a Sizzix die for the bird.
For the next challenge, I chose to play in the first Seize the Sketch Challenge #1. Instead of just cutting paper stripes or stamping the stripes, I covered a piece of card stock with different washi tapes, and then cut the strips. I like the way they overhang [like the sketch] - something I have never done before, and I do have to say, I like the look.
My sentiment is from Hero Arts, Essential Messages.
Lastly, I wanted to join in Paper Crafts Connection's August 2013 Gallery Challenge - Sunshine. As I was thinking about the challenge, I kept seeing a lighthouse - well, don't ya know, GKD came through with By the Sea, illustrated by the fabulous Theresa Momber. I also followed her killer step by step tutorial to get the colors the way I wanted. I love this card. [just sayin].
Okay, I feel better -- my withdrawal is under control - whew, that was close!
Thanks for stopping by~
