Challenge Day

It's Wednesday, my day off, and that means I get to play in challenges! [I like Wednesdays ;)]

Papercraft Star and One Layer Wednesday [hosted by Karen this week], had basically the same challenge; beach. That would be one of my favorite themes so naturally, I jumped right in!

I used Shari Carroll's water color technique.  I just love the end results.  You swipe your stamp pads on a craft sheet [mine is Tim Holtz], spritz with water, and "walk" your stamps through the ink, and finally, stamp on to your card.  I find this muted effect very appealing. Anyway, let this dry, and then stamp the sentiment. I used Hero Arts Live Life.

For my 2nd card, I am playing in Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch.  I adore this type of sketch layout.  Also, I get to use some of my Stampin Up stamps!

I like these dual stamp images from Petal Prints and, I am happy to report that I am getting better at using my stamp positioner.  Considering I have had this tool for probably 12 years, I think that's a good thing.  I really un-layered the sketch, but I still followed it~

That's it for me today.

Thanks for stopping by~

Your first card is simple and beautiful. And I love that sentiment - in fact all those sentiments on that stamp set would be very useful. Thanks for Sharing, must try that water colour technique.
The second card is great too. Genius how you've taken something fussy and made it sweet and simple.

I really love your cards - they inspire me. Your style is what I aim for of course with my touch. In particular I like using watercolors, or the look of watercolor.
