Papertrey Challenge - #91 Faux Pocket

Today over at Capture the Moment, [Papertrey], Dawn McVey made a Faux Pocket card.  This was the perfect opportunity to make the advent calendar I have been wanting to make.  I wanted a pocket one, and the faux made it so much easier to make!  Thanks Dawn :)

I used one of my favorite color combos - aqua and red.  Are these faux pockets perfect for this or what!  I stamped them with PTI Background Basics: Text Style, Polka Dots Basics II and Dot Spot, along with Signature Greetings.  The little white tags have different stuff written on them to do [as a family].  We will see if the 18 year old will join in.  It sort of like his last Christmas -- he goes off to the Navy in February.  While I am sure he will be home for more Christmas', this is the last one of him actually living in our house.

A little close up:

Hard to believe this is the very first advent calendar I have ever made.  Shame on me not doing this when my son was a little boy!  Do you have littles?  Don't make my mistake and let the years get past you.  They can't be replaced....

Thanks for stopping by
