Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode Challenge

Hi everyone!  Today's challenge over at the Outlawz Paper ala Mode is to use an inspirational quote.

I used my favorite quote from Gina K Designs Timeless Treasures.  I also tried a new technique from Tim Holtz's A Compendium of Curiosities book; Alcohol Ink Splatter.  Gosh it reminded me of being a kid in art class.  Drop spots of alcohol ink and blow with a straw!  Be a kid again, and try it!  So much fun!  A perfect background for this quote - happy and bright! :)  Because I had so much fun, I made a second card!

Do you have a quote you love?  Come on over to Outlawz Paper ala Mode challenge, and play along.
Thanks for stopping by~

Wow, wow, wow, Vicki...what a great card. Tim Holtz, does that guy ever stop?? Just took his Chem 101 on-line class. A newbie to stamping= great way to learn! He's amazing. Just blow through a straw at the alcohol ink drop? Amazing comeing up with this stuff? LOL Girlfriend, you took that technique and also blew off some socks. Colors are bright and loud. Love, love, love it!!! AnnaJ.

Back again. Got to ask? If alcohol inks dry so quickly, how did you have time to blow at it throught the straw, and have it move so far? I can see the after-effects and they r fantastic. I am just so curious how they moved like that?? Sorry, I feel just like a kid: how'd you do dat? LOL

Gosh....I forgot all about this technique.....I used to have my students 'blow' ink drops over cardstock to create art on which they printed their Haikus during our Japan unit....will have to try it with the alcohol inks....tf the inspiration
