Taking a Chance..

Okay, peeps I am trying something that I am questioning... Get Hippity with Ipitty is running a challenge with wings.  I instantly went towards Tim Holtz blog.

I made tissue tape -- (tissue paper on scor- tape) and stamped Ippity images on it; butterfly Now & Always, and the small background from A Moment in Time - and then I collaged the tape randomly on my tag, and distressed with Festive Berries and Tea Tag, and added flourishes.
I used my Dress Form nesties (again distressing with Tea Dye).  Now - the Ippity was using wings -- well this is where I got REALLY creative. My wings are from the dresses from Fabulous Girl.

I added some edge distressing with my edger.

I have so many things going on this tag -- it is COMPLETELY out of the box for me.  End result?  Well, that is my question -- what do you all think?  DH didn't like it -- I am on the fence since it is so not my style, but, what do you all think?  Should I have entered this in the challenge?  LOL, time will tell by the Team's comments I guess :)

Thanks for stopping by~

It's different. Sort of steam punky. Not my style but very clever.

Most important thing to remember with paper crafting (for me) is that I give or sell everything so it doesn't always have to be something that I really like. It should be something that the person who is getting it will like. They aren't always that same thing! LOL

I think it's wonderful and sometimes going outside the box, leads to other unsuspecting and fabulous creativity!

Vicki, don't ask what anyone thinks, you put in a lot of work, enter your tag into the challenge...However, you asked. I love it. It is a departure from the work I've seen you do, but it's whimsical, and fun, and delightful. Using the orange and black makes it unified, which is so you, but the wings, wow, they are so creative. Its outside your comfort zone, so what! You go girl! Anna Jernigan

Sorry, got more to say. Karen is right, sometimes going outside your comfort zone, or outside the box, will lead you down a new path. Isn't that what creativity means? Maybe its time to stretch, push the envelope. Grow! I'll support and encourage that for anyone. Don't play it safe, life is too short. Who didn't like it? Tsk, tsk. :) Anna Jernigan
